In 2012, Gunnar Garfors traveled to 5 countries on 5 continents in just one day, a new Guiness World Record.
He didn’t stop there. The globetrotter went on to visit every single country – all 198. And he did it at age 37, another new world record.
He published a book last year called 198: How I Ran Out of Countries last year detailing his globetrotting.
Garfors also maintained his job while traveling, writing for outlets such as Business Insider and the Japanese newspaper Mainichi, and running a a digital radio and mobile TV organization called IDAG.
